There’s no denying that high-quality mathematics instruction is essential to ensure all students are college and career ready. But how do school leaders ensure that high-quality mathematics instruction is taking place in all classrooms? This workshop is designed for Administrators, Principals, Evaluators, Special Education Directors and other school leaders to empower them to become better instructional leaders of mathematics.

Come learn and collaborate with other school leaders as we tackle these questions (and more): What does high-quality mathematics instruction look like and sound like? What does it mean for students to be engaged in mathematical thinking? How can leaders support teachers in productive discussions to reflect on their practice?

Goals:

  • Examine beliefs about mathematics teaching and learning
  • Build common language and examples for high-quality mathematics instruction
  • Identify ways to support effective mathematics instruction in schools
