IM K-5 Math: Unit Planning Guide Launch Session for Leaders

An introduction to the IM Unit Planning Guide activity structures and coach-facing materials.

How can coaches or PLC leaders support teachers to study and plan for upcoming units? This session introduces instructional leaders to the Unit Planning Guide activity structures and coach-facing materials, to help them prepare to use Unit Planning Guides with a group of teachers.

Learning Goals

  • Understand the purpose and value of co-planning as a math team at the unit level.
  • Explore the materials and structure of the Unit Planning Guides.
  • Create a plan for the first math team meeting.

Audience: Leaders of collaborative unit planning with teachers, implementing IM’s Unit Planning Guides

When: While implementing IM K–5 Math, before using Unit Planning Guides with teachers

Prerequisite: Curriculum Overview for School Leaders or Teach & Learn and Purchase of Unit Planning Guides

Cost: $200

REFUND POLICY: Cancellations made more than 180 days prior to this event will receive a full refund minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations made between 180 and 30 days of the event will receive a 50% refund minus a 10% processing fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 30 days of the event.

*Workshop may not run if enrollment is less than 15 participants. In the event of a cancellation due to low enrollment full refunds will be issued.*
